Turnstone Guitar Company is in 2015 opgericht door Rosie Heydenrych, en is een plaats waar uitzonderlijke handgemaakte akoestische gitaren tot leven komen. Geïnspireerd door haar onvoorwaardelijk liefde voor de akoestische gitaar en het Engelse erfgoed bouwt Rosie instrumenten met de beste materialen met als doel om samen met de klant de ultieme droomgitaar te creëren. Deze 12 fret TM is een unieke interpretatie van een moderne 000. De gitaar is uitgerust met een klankkast van het klassieke Indische palissander met daarbij een bovenblad van Mastergrade Duits Sparren. Daarbij is de gitaar rijkelijk voorzien van prachtige houten details die deze TM tot een luxe verschijning maken. De Indisch palissander binding en bevel is voorzien van een gevlamde mahonie purfling, terwijl de prachtige Burr rozet het klankgat omlijst.
Overigens ziet deze 12 fret er niet alleen schitterend, hij klinkt ook nog eens als een tierelier! Wat deze 000 zo formidabel laat klinken is volgens volgens Turnstone hun begrip voor unieke bracing. Op het bovenblad wordt niet alleen het traditionele sparrenbracing gebruikt die je ziet op Martins of veel traditioneel X-brace instrumenten. Er wordt gebruik gemaakt van verschillende houtsoorten voor de tone bars die van de hoofd-X afkomen. Turnstone kijkt naar sterkte, dichtheid en vorm, er wordt gekeken welke frequenties je wilt versterken op elk uniek instrument voor je hoge tonen, je middentonen en je bassen—en begrijpen hoe je die kunt accentueren.
En zoals bij elk Turnstone instrument heeft de toon van deze TM weer geresulteerd in een fenomenale klank! De rijke, volle basnoten worden prachtig in balans gehouden door heldere, sprankelende hoge tonen. De middentonen voegen een warme diepte toe die de klank compleet maakt. This 12-fret TM is a unique interpretation of a modern 000. The guitar features a body made of classic Indian rosewood with a top of Mastergrade German Spruce. Additionally, the guitar is richly adorned with beautiful wooden details that make this TM a luxurious appearance. The Indian rosewood binding and bevel are complemented by a flamed mahogany purfling, while the stunning Burr rosette frames the soundhole.
Moreover, this 12-fret not only looks stunning, but it also sounds fantastic! According to Turnstone, what makes this 000 sound so formidable is their understanding of unique bracing. The top features not only the traditional spruce bracing seen on Martins or many traditional X-brace instruments. Different types of wood are used for the tone bars that come off the main X.
