Ter ere van het 50-jarig jubileum brengt Taylor een reeks gitaren in beperkte oplage uit. De gitaren zijn gebaseerd op de meest populaire modellen uit de afgelopen decennia, en ze hebben allemaal één ding gemeen; elke gitaar heeft als eerbetoon aan het oprichtingsjaar een oplage van 1974 stuks!
Deze speciale uitgave van de populairste GS Mini is een van de gelimiteerde modellen die door Taylor is uitgerust met vernieuwde specificaties. Ten opzichte van het reguliere model heeft deze jubileumeditie een torrefied Sitka sparren bovenblad met natural finish, gesierd door een opvallende firestripe slagplaat. Gepaard met een gelaagd Indisch palissander klankkast heeft deze GS Mini-e een warm, ingespeeld karakter met een duidelijke projectie en een gebalanceerd klankprofiel. De gitaar is in essentie een verkleinde versie van het Grand Symphony-model, en biedt door zijn korte 23,5 inch mensuur een ongekend speelcomfort zonder in te leveren op de klank.
Verdere upgrades zijn een speciale toetsinleg, goudkleurige stemmechanieken en ebben brugpinnen met een goudkleurige stip. Deze Taylor GS Mini-e 50th Anniversary is uiteraard ook voorzien van Taylor's eigen Expression System 2 pickupsysteem. This special edition of the most popular GS Mini is one of the limited edition models fitted with updated specifications by Taylor. Compared to the regular model, this anniversary edition features a torrefied Sitka spruce top with natural finish, adorned by an eye-catching firestripe pickguard. Paired with a layered Indian rosewood soundboard, this GS Mini-e has a warm, played-in character with clear projection and a balanced sound profile. Essentially a scaled-down version of the Grand Symphony model, the guitar's short 23.5-inch scale offers unprecedented playing comfort without compromising on tone.
Further upgrades include a special fingerboard inlay, gold-coloured tuning machines and ebony bridge pins with a gold dot. Of course, this Taylor GS Mini-e 50th Anniversary also features Taylor's own Expression System 2 pickup system. Finally, inside the guitar flaunts a stylish reminder of Taylor's birthday in the form of a 50th Anniversary label!
