Deze Hummingbird Original heeft een klankkast en bovenblad van prachtig koa, en is het volgende meesterwerk uit de Custom Shop van Gibson. De gitaar is niet alleen een oogverblindende verschijning, hij klinkt vanzelfsprekend ook nog eens geweldig! In 1960 werd de Hummingbird geïntroduceerd als Gibson's eerste square shoulder. Hij arriveerde aan het begin van een nieuw tijdperk in de muziek en werd al snel omarmd door de pioniers van die tijd. De onmiskenbare Gibson Hummingbird wordt door de massa beschouwd als een van de meest opmerkelijke akoestische gitaren ooit gebouwd. Veel van de aantrekkingskracht van de Hummingbird is terug te vinden in zijn veelzijdigheid. Het maakt niet uit hoe je deze flattop aanvalt, hij pompt rijke, diepe tonen uit, en is net zo thuis in het strummen van open akkoorden als complexe fingerpick-partijen.
De kenmerkende gegraveerde slagplaat siert het bovenblad van de gitaar op fraaie wijze, terwijl de body net als de hals is omlijst met een crèmekleurige binding. De Grover Rotomatic stemmechanieken hebben hun sporen al ruimschoots verdiend, en houden ook deze Hummingbird perfect op stemming. En dankzij de LR Baggs VTC pickup is hij ook nog eens uitstekend geschikt voor op het podium of in de studio.

The use of koa gives the guitar a clear, articulate sound with a well-balanced tonal character, making it a dream for any musician, regardless of musical genre.
In 1960, the Hummingbird was introduced as Gibson's first square shoulder. It arrived at the dawn of a new era in music and was quickly embraced by the pioneers of the time. The unmistakable Gibson Hummingbird is considered by the masses to be one of the most remarkable acoustic guitars ever built. Much of the Hummingbird's appeal is found in its versatility. No matter how you attack this flattop, it pumps out rich, deep tones, and is just as at home strumming open chords as complex fingerpicking parts.
The distinctive engraved pickguard beautifully adorns the guitar's top, while the body, like the neck, is framed by a cream-coloured binding. The Grover Rotomatic tuners have already won their spurs, and also keep this Hummingbird perfectly in tune. And thanks to the LR Baggs VTC pickup, it is also excellent for the stage or studio.
The guitar comes with Gibson Custom Shop certificate in a hardshell case.

Das markante gravierte Schlagbrett ziert die Decke der Gitarre, während der Korpus wie der Hals von einem cremefarbenen Binding umrahmt ist. Die Grover Rotomatic Mechaniken haben sich bereits ihre Sporen verdient und halten auch diese Hummingbird perfekt in Stimmung.
