The PRS Special Semi-Hollow offers players a versatile hum/“single”/hum configuration with two PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers and a PRS Narrowfield middle pickup.

PRS Narrowfield pickups leveren de bite van een single coil, dus ze snijden door de mix met veel helderheid en punch; zonder de brom. Gekoppeld aan een 5-weg bladschakelaar en twee mini-toggles die de 58/15 LT humbuckers splitsen, kan deze gitaar talloze geluiden en stijlen aan (met maar liefst twaalf pickup combinaties in totaal).
De volumeniveaus tussen de humbuckers en single-coil instellingen blijven zeer gelijkmatig, en de semi-holle body met enkel f-hole zorgt voor een welkome luchtigheid en diepte in de gitaartoon.
Extra specificaties zijn een flame maple top, mahonie achterkant, 22-fret mahonie hals met een mensuur van 25", palissander toets met parelmoer bird inlay, Phase III locking tuners met wing buttons en het PRS Gen III patented tremolosysteem.

Paired with a 5-way blade switch and two mini-toggles that split the 58/15 LT humbuckers, this guitar can handle myriad sounds and styles (with a whopping twelve pickup combinations in total).
The volume levels between the humbucking and single-coil settings remain very even, and the semi-hollow body with single f-hole provides a welcome airiness and depth to the guitars tone.
