The SB55 is based on the 60 year old single cut design. Although they already knew the power of simplicity back then, Eastman has continued this idea and only used quality parts.
Eastman SB55/V Sunburst
Eastman goes back to what really matters with its SB55/V.
A mahogany body, neck, wraparound bridge, tuners and a P90 with volume and tone is really all you need. The difference, however, is in the components used. Eastman uses only the best woods and hardware for their guitars. This leads to a perfect playability and sound, while the guitar remains very light.
Eastman's secret weapon however is the varnish finish which allows the wood to breathe and allows the guitar to resonate freely.
The Lollar '50s specced pickup is characterised by its lower output, giving it a very dynamic and clear sound. The compensated wraparound bridge and tuners are provided by Faber and ensure that guitar stays in tune while the tone and sustain are more than maintained.
