De National Duolian uit 1993 vertegenwoordigt een bijzonder moment in de geschiedenis van resonatorgitaren. Dit exemplaar is namelijk één van de eerste instrumenten uit de hernieuwde Duolian-serie, die sinds de jaren '30 niet meer geproduceerd was. Origineel besteld in Mandolin Brothers in Staten Island, New York, in 1993 door de toenmalige eigenaar, was dit één van de eerste modellen toen National besloot deze legendarische gitaren opnieuw te maken.
Met zijn stalen body en dubbele f-gaten biedt deze Duolian die karakteristieke, rauwe resonatorklank waar bluesgitaristen zo dol op zijn. De grijze poedercoating geeft de gitaar een stoere, vintage uitstraling terwijl de mahonie hals met V-profiel en volledig vlakke palissander toets zorgen voor een authentieke speelervaring. De brede hals met 45mm kambreedte en comfortabele V-vorm biedt volop ruimte voor zowel slide- als regulier spel.
De National 'biscuit' brug en sieve pattern coverplate zijn kenmerkende elementen van het klassieke Duolian-ontwerp en dragen bij aan de karakteristieke toon van deze gitaar. Deze National is uitgerust met betrouwbare Grover stemmechanieken en verkeert in uitstekende staat, klaar om het onmiskenbare resonatorgeluid te leveren dat je verwacht. Op de body en hals zijn lichte speelsporen te vinden, met daarbij wat duidelijkere sporen op de hals en headstock. The 1993 National Duolian represents a special moment in the history of resonator guitars. This model is one of the first instruments from the renewed Duolian series, which had not been produced since the 1930s. Originally ordered from Mandolin Brothers in Staten Island, New York, in 1993 by the then owner, this was one of the first models when National decided to recreate these legendary guitars.
With its steel body and dual f-holes, this Duolian offers that characteristic, raw resonator sound that blues guitarists love so much. The gray powder coating gives the guitar a tough, vintage look, while the mahogany neck with V-profile and completely flat rosewood fingerboard ensure an authentic playing experience. The wide neck with 45mm nut width and comfortable V-shape offers plenty of room for both slide and regular playing.
The National 'biscuit' bridge and sieve pattern coverplate are signature elements of the classic Duolian design and contribute to the guitar's characteristic tone. Equipped with reliable Grover tuners, this National is in excellent condition, ready to deliver the unmistakable resonator sound you expect. There are light playwear marks on the body and neck, with some more noticeable marks on the neck and headstock. However, the guitar looks very neat and comes with a TFOA passport in a case.

Am Korpus und am Hals sind leichte Spielspuren zu sehen, am Hals und an der Kopfplatte sind einige deutlichere Spuren zu erkennen. Die Gitarre sieht jedoch sehr ordentlich aus und wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem Koffer geliefert.
