The next Martin guitar chosen for the Reimagined treatment is the iconic HD-28. Introduced in 1975, the HD-28 was Martin's first attempt to create a new Golden Era specified Martin guitar.
The Martin HD-28 Re-imagined contains most of the features of the Golden Era D-28, including the 'Diamond and Squares' long pattern inlay, herringbone edge inlay and most important: the 'scalloped' bracing, which ensures that the top becomes more flexible and reproduces more overtones and more bass frequencies. In addition to the Pre-war specifications, this Martin also has some modern aspects, such as forward shifted bracing and a modified low oval neck profile.
The sound is grand, with a strong low, a beautiful middle and a crystal clear high, plenty of headroom and an impressive sustain. This Martin HD28 is marked as B-Stock due to the light play marks found on the top of the headstock. Nevertheless, this HD28 is still brand new and sounds like hell! Comes in a case with TFOA passport.
