Music Man Luke III HH BFR Koa Island Burst 2019

Terwijl de Luke I nog een Floyd Rose, een dunnere hals en alleen een volumepotmeter had, koos Steve Lukather voor een iets klassiekere benadering met de Luke II. Naast een Music Man Floating Vintage Tremolo, locking tuners en herontworpen EMG pickups, kreeg dit model ook een toonpotmeter. In de Luke III worden twee custom humbuckers van DiMarzio gebruikt. Deze versie heeft ook een “Active Gain Boost,” die kan worden geactiveerd via de push-functie in de volumeregeling, voor nog meer flexibiliteit.


De standaard Luke III modellen worden af en toe aangevuld met speciale edities met unieke eigenschappen en vaak opvallende visuele accenten. Hier presenteren we een prachtige Luke III met een koa bovenblad, ebbenhouten toets en gouden hardware, uit de hoogste kwaliteit “Ball Family Reserve".


Deze gitaar heeft een volledig mahonie body onder de koa top en een maple hals onder de ebben toets. De gitaar vertoont wat slijtage, met markeringen op de humbuckers en de body, evenals een klein scheurtje in de lak bij de halspocket. Deze barst heeft echter geen invloed op de bespeelbaarheid of betrouwbaarheid van het instrument. De gitaar wordt geleverd met een hardshell koffer en een TFOA paspoort.

While the Luke I still featured a Floyd Rose, a thinner neck and only a volume potentiometer, Steve Lukather took a slightly more classic approach with the Luke II. In addition to a Music Man Floating Vintage Tremolo, locking tuners and redesigned EMG pickups, this model also received a tone potentiometer. Two custom humbuckers from DiMarzio are used in the Luke III. This version also has an “Active Gain Boost,” which can be activated via the push function in the volume control, providing even more flexibility.

The standard Luke III models are occasionally complemented by special editions with unique features and often striking visual touches. Here we present a beautiful Luke III with a koa top, ebony fingerboard and gold hardware, from the highest quality “Ball Family Reserve.”

This guitar features an all-mahogany body beneath the koa top and a maple neck under the ebony fingerboard. It shows some playwear, with markings on the humbuckers and body, as well as a small crack in the finish near the neck pocket. However, this crack does not affect the playability or reliability of the instrument. The guitar comes with a hardshell case and a TFOA passport.

Während die Luke I noch mit einem Floyd Rose, einem dünneren Hals und nur einem Lautstärkepotentiometer ausgestattet war, wählte Steve Lukather bei der Luke II einen etwas klassischeren Ansatz. Neben einem Music Man Floating Vintage Tremolo, Locking Tuner und neu gestalteten EMG-Tonabnehmern erhielt dieses Modell auch ein Tonpotentiometer. In der Luke III kommen zwei Custom Humbucker von DiMarzio zum Einsatz. Diese Version verfügt außerdem über einen Active Gain Boost“, der über die Push-Funktion in der Klangregelung aktiviert werden kann und somit noch mehr Flexibilität bietet.


Neben den Standardmodellen der Luke III gibt es gelegentlich auch Sondereditionen mit einzigartigen Features und oft auffälligen optischen Akzenten. Hier präsentieren wir eine wunderschöne Luke III mit Koa-Decke, Ebenholz-Griffbrett und Gold-Hardware aus der hochwertigen „Ball Family Reserve“.


Diese Gitarre hat einen Mahagoni-Korpus unter der Koa-Decke und einen Ahorn-Hals unter dem Ebenholz-Griffbrett. Sie weist einige Spielspuren auf, mit Markierungen an den Humbuckern und am Korpus, sowie einen kleinen Riss im Lack in der Nähe der Halstasche. Dieser Riss beeinträchtigt jedoch nicht die Spielbarkeit oder Zuverlässigkeit des Instruments. Die Gitarre kommt mit einem Hartschalenkoffer und einem TFOA-Pass.
