Crazy Tube Circuits Killer V Drive/Vibrato
Met de Killer V wilden Crazy Tube Circuits het geluid en gevoel van de klassieke Magnatone Custom 460 Vibrato-versterker uit 1962 repliceren. Het basisparadigma hier is om twee versterkerfuncties in één compact pedaal te bieden. Enerzijds is dit een heerlijk vuile Magnatone-geïnspireerde voorversterker. Aan de andere kant is de Killer V ook een mooi klinkend vibrato met zijn eigen speciale voetschakelaar. Crazy Tube Circuits ontwierp de Killer V rond JFET-technologie en een interne spanningsvermenigvuldiger. Dit geeft de Killer V een zeer dichte benadering in een poging om de ultieme buisachtige klank te creëren. CTS slaagde erin om niet alleen de overstuurde klanken te reproduceren, maar ook de lagere gain, zuivere klanken van deze klassieke versterker!
With the Killer V, Crazy Tube Circuits set out to replicate the sound and feel of the classic 1962 Magnatone Custom 460 Vibrato amp.The basic paradigm here is to provide two amp functions in one compact pedal. On the one hand, this is a deliciously dirty Magnatone-inspired preamp. On the other, the Killer V is also a nice-sounding vibrato with its own dedicated footswitch. Crazy Tube Circuits designed the Killer V around JFET technology and an internal voltage multiplier. This gives the Killer V much higher headroom in an attempt to create the ultimate tube-like tone. CTS managed to recreate not only the overdriven sounds but the lower gain, clean sounds of this classic amp as well!
