Collings OM1A Adirondack
Tachtig jaar nadat het 'Orchestra Model' voor het eerst werd ontworpen is het een van de meest populaire 14-fret modellen geworden voor fingerstyle spelers die op stalen snaren willen spelen. Maar voor flatpickers is het ook een aantrekkelijk instrument. Hoewel hij na een aantal jaren qua volume werd onttroond door de machtige dreadnought, behoudt deze gitaar een bepaalde charme en unieke veelzijdigheid. Het compacte formaat maakt de Collings OM net zo makkelijk te hanteren op het podium als wanneer je op de bank zit, en de relatief ondiepe body die nauwelijks meer dan 4 inch diep is resulteert in een gebalanceerde toon en een onmiddellijke respons.
Met een Adirondack sparren bovenblad en een Hondurees mahonie klankkast is deze Collings OM1A voorzien van kwalitatief uiterst hoogstaande houtsoorten die een gitaar een klank geven die niet te versmaden is. Ook op visueel gebied gooit deze OM1A hoge ogen, want met verfijnd afgewerkte details zoals een tortoise binding met een strak afgewerkte purfling, het onberispelijke fretwerk en het prachtige Collings-logo van parelmoer kloppen de details gewoon; beter gaat het niet worden!
Zoals we van Collings gewend zijn is ook de OM1A van buitengewone kwaliteit. De gebruikte materialen voldoen aan de hoogste standaard en de afwerking zal de liefhebber doen watertanden! Although it was dethroned in terms of volume after a few years by the mighty dreadnought, this guitar retains a certain charm and unique versatility. The compact size makes the Collings OM as easy to handle on stage as it is when you are sitting on the couch, and the relatively shallow body, which is barely more than 4 inches deep, results in a balanced tone and an immediate response.
With an Adirondack spruce top and a Honduran mahogany back and sides, this Collings OM1A is equipped with extremely high-quality woods that give a guitar a sound that is not to be sneezed at. This OM1A also scores high in terms of visuals, because with refined details such as a tortoise binding with a neatly finished purfling, the impeccable fretwork and the beautiful Collings logo made of mother of pearl, the details are just right; it doesn't get any better than this!

Achtzig Jahre nach dem ersten Entwurf des „Orchestra Model“ ist es zu einem der beliebtesten 14-Bund-Modelle für Fingerstyle-Spieler geworden, die auf Stahlsaiten spielen möchten. Aber auch für Flatpicker ist es ein attraktives Instrument. Obwohl sie in Sachen Lautstärke nach einigen Jahren von der mächtigen Dreadnought entthront wurde, behält diese Gitarre einen gewissen Charme und eine einzigartige Vielseitigkeit. Die kompakte Größe macht die Collings OM auf der Bühne genauso einfach zu handhaben wie wenn man auf der Couch sitzt, und der relativ flache Korpus, der kaum mehr als 4 Zoll tief ist, führt zu einem ausgewogenen Ton und einer sofortigen Ansprache.
Mit einer Decke aus Adirondack-Fichte und einem Boden und Zargen aus honduranischem Mahagoni ist diese Collings OM1A mit äußerst hochwertigen Hölzern ausgestattet, die einer Gitarre einen Klang verleihen, der nicht zu verachten ist. Auch optisch kann diese OM1A punkten, denn mit raffinierten Details wie einem Tortoise-Binding mit sauber verarbeiteter Einlage, dem tadellosen Bundwerk und dem wunderschönen Collings-Logo aus Perlmutt stimmen die Details; besser geht es nicht!
Wie wir es von Collings gewohnt sind, ist auch die OM1A von außergewöhnlicher Qualität.
