Dana Bourgeois bouwt al bijna 40 jaar gitaren. Hij staat wereldwijd bekend als een van de vooraanstaande autoriteiten op het gebied van het op klank brengen, selecteren en gebruiken van de allerbeste klankhoutsoorten.
Een van de allerbeste en bijzondere klankhoutsoorten is Panamees palissander, wat in al haar glorie te zien is op de achterkant en zijkant van deze Dreadnought. 'Panama Rosewood' is zowel licht en stijf met als resultaat een klank met de karakteristieke warmte en complexiteit die ook te vinden is in Braziliaans palissander.
De sparren top die verkozen is voor deze bijzondere klankkast komt uit het Adirondack gebergte en is 'torrified', en voorzien van een specifieke finish die bijdraagt aan de vintage klank die uit het instrument druppelt. Het laatste stukje van de 'tone-puzzel' is de Hondurees mahoniehouten hals, en net zoals de body verlijmd met Animal protein glue.
Zoals we gewend zijn is de fit en finish van een Bourgeois natuurlijk buitengewoon goed en straalt de klasse uit die je van Bourgeois zou verwachten. Dit is ook te zien aan de ingetogen en luxueuze kenmerken zoals de abalone stipinleg, Dana Bourgeois Signature herringbone purfling en de Madagscar Palissander kopplaat voorzien van het Mother of Pearl Bourgeois logo.

Dana Bourgeois has been building guitars for almost 40 years. He is known worldwide as one of the leading authorities on sounding, selecting and using the very best tonewoods.
One of the very best and special tonewoods is Panamanian rosewood, which can be seen in all its glory on the back and sides of this Dreadnought. ‘Panama Rosewood’ is both light and stiff, resulting in a sound with the characteristic warmth and complexity also found in Brazilian rosewood.
The spruce top chosen for this particular soundboard comes from the Adirondack Mountains and is ‘torrified’, and features a specific finish that contributes to the vintage sound that trickles out of the instrument. The final piece of the ‘tone puzzle’ is the Honduran mahogany neck, and like the body, glued with Animal protein glue.
As we have come to expect, the fit and finish of a Bourgeois is of course exceptionally good and exudes the class you would expect from Bourgeois. This is also evident in the understated and luxurious features such as the abalone dot inlay, Dana Bourgeois Signature herringbone purfling and the Madagscar Rosewood headplate bearing the Mother of Pearl Bourgeois logo.

Eines der allerbesten und besonderen Tonhölzer ist der panamaische Palisander, der auf Boden und Zargen dieser Dreadnought in seiner ganzen Pracht zu sehen ist. Panamapalisander“ ist sowohl leicht als auch steif, was zu einem Klang mit der charakteristischen Wärme und Komplexität führt, die man auch bei brasilianischem Palisander findet.
Die Fichtendecke, die für diese spezielle Decke ausgewählt wurde, stammt aus den Adirondack Mountains und ist torrifiziert“, d.h. mit einem speziellen Finish versehen, das zu dem Vintage-Sound beiträgt, der aus dem Instrument strömt. Das letzte Teil des „Klangpuzzles“ ist der Hals aus honduranischem Mahagoni, der wie der Korpus mit Tierproteinleim verleimt ist.
Wie wir es von einer Bourgeois erwarten, ist die Verarbeitung natürlich außergewöhnlich gut und strahlt die Klasse aus, die man von Bourgeois erwartet. Dies zeigt sich auch in den unaufdringlichen und luxuriösen Merkmalen wie der Abalone-Punkteinlage, der Dana Bourgeois Signature Fischgrät-Einlage und der Kopfplatte aus Madagscar-Palisanderholz mit dem Bourgeois-Logo aus Perlmutt.
