Fender Telecaster Sunburst 1975

The Telecaster has long been a favourite among many guitarists; praised by many for its no-nonsense character, but equally loved for its versatility. No style of music is too powerful for the all-round Telecaster, and this 1975 example is also exceptionally well-preserved!

The model had been a staple of the guitar landscape since the early 1950s, and has actually remained completely unchanged over the years. An important moment broke for Fender in 1966, as Leo Fender sold his company to CBS. Fender focused more on mass production from then on, and changes were also made to the specifications, including the use of different lacquer and material for the fingerboard inlays and pickguards.

Critics say CBS-era instruments are inferior to guitars from Fender's early days, but we have to be honest and say that this 1975 Telecaster is quite a fine guitar after all! Telecasters from the 1970s are known for their somewhat heavier bodies, and at 4.2 kg, this Tele definitely confirms that point.

However, the Sunburst-finished body and glossy lacquered neck still look great, and make this Telecaster a well-playing and sounding part of music history. Some minor dings and light playing marks are visible, but the guitar is otherwise very clean. With that, this Telecaster is also almost completely original, as only the pickup switch has been replaced. Comes with TFOA passport in a hardshell case.
