McIlroy A55 Ziricote Western Red Cedar 2009

​​Het A-model is de middelgrote jumbo van McIlroy, ook wel bekend als een gitaar van auditoriumformaat. Dit is het meest populaire formaat van het merk en uiterst comfortabel om te spelen, terwijl hij een heldere, luchtige klank produceert met een enorm volume.  Zoals altijd bij McIlroy is de bouw- en geluidkwaliteit van het allerhoogste niveau. Niet alleen het hout is bijzonder fraai maar ook de verfijnde klank is volledig in evenwicht met het uiterlijk. 

Voor deze A55 heeft McIlroy gekozen voor een prachtige Ziricote klankkast gecombineerd met een Western Red ceder bovenblad. De gitaar heeft hierdoor een warme en open sound die door de jaren heen prachtig gerijpt is. Deze McIlroy is uitstekend geschikt voor diverse speelstijlen, want zowel volle akkoorden als fingerstyle-partijen klinken bijzonder goed door de mooie separatie van noten die met een prachtige sustain ten gehore worden gebracht.

De figured Sycamore binding en de purfling van esdoorn, perenhout en palissander zorgen voor de versiering van de body, en de abalone rozet is de kers op de taart! De vijfdelige hals bestaat uit mahonie, esdoorn en palissander, en is voorzien van een ebben toets en kopplaat. Ook hier spreekt de fabuleuze afwerking tot de verbeelding; de esdoorn purfling is zowel op de toets als onder de kopplaat zichtbaar.

Deze McIlroy is gebouwd in 2009, en verkeert in excellente conditie. De gitaar heeft speelsporen en enkele dings op het bovenblad, en de lak op de achterzijde van de hals is glanzend geworden door het bespelen. Tevens heeft de gitaar een refret gehad. Over het geheel gezien ziet de gitaar er echter zeer netjes uit, en wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer van Hiscox.

​​The A-model is McIlroy's mid-sized jumbo, also known as an auditorium-sized guitar. This is the brand's most popular size and is extremely comfortable to play, while producing a clear, airy sound with enormous volume. As always with McIlroy, the build and sound quality is of the highest level. Not only is the wood particularly beautiful, but the refined sound is also completely in balance with the appearance.


For this A55, McIlroy has chosen beautiful Ziricote back and sides combined with a Western Red cedar top. This gives the guitar a warm and open sound that has matured beautifully over the years. This McIlroy is excellently suited for various playing styles, because both full chords and fingerstyle parts sound particularly good due to the beautiful separation of notes that are performed with a beautiful sustain.


The figured Sycamore binding and the purfling of maple, pearwood and rosewood provide the ornamentation of the body, and the abalone rosette is the icing on the cake! The five-piece neck consists of mahogany, maple and rosewood, and is equipped with an ebony fingerboard and headstock. Here too, the fabulous finish appeals to the imagination; the maple purfling is visible both on the fingerboard and under the headstock.


This McIlroy was built in 2009, and is in excellent condition. The guitar has playwear and a few dings on the top, and the lacquer on the back of the neck has become shiny from playing. The guitar has also been refretted. Overall, however, the guitar looks very neat, and comes with a TFOA passport in a Hiscox hardshell case.

Das A-Modell ist McIlroys mittelgroße Jumbo, auch als Auditorium-Gitarre bekannt. Dies ist die beliebteste Größe der Marke und ist äußerst komfortabel zu spielen, während sie einen klaren, luftigen Klang mit enormem Volumen erzeugt. Wie immer bei McIlroy sind die Verarbeitungs- und Klangqualität auf höchstem Niveau. Nicht nur das Holz ist besonders schön, sondern der raffinierte Klang steht auch völlig im Einklang mit dem Aussehen.


Für diese A55 hat McIlroy wunderschöne Ziricote-Rückseite und -Zargen in Kombination mit einer Western Red Cedar-Decke gewählt. Dies verleiht der Gitarre einen warmen und offenen Klang, der im Laufe der Jahre wunderschön gereift ist. Diese McIlroy eignet sich hervorragend für verschiedene Spielstile, da sowohl volle Akkorde als auch Fingerstyle-Parts aufgrund der schönen Trennung der Töne, die mit einem schönen Sustain gespielt werden, besonders gut klingen.


Die gemusterte Sycamore-Bindung und die Einlage aus Ahorn, Birnbaum und Palisander sorgen für die Verzierung des Korpus, und die Abalone-Rosette ist das Tüpfelchen auf dem i! Der fünfteilige Hals besteht aus Mahagoni, Ahorn und Palisander und ist mit einem Griffbrett und einer Kopfplatte aus Ebenholz ausgestattet. Auch hier regt das fabelhafte Finish die Fantasie an; die Ahorn-Einlage ist sowohl auf dem Griffbrett als auch unter der Kopfplatte sichtbar.


Diese McIlroy wurde 2009 gebaut und befindet sich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Die Gitarre weist Spielspuren und ein paar Dellen auf der Oberseite auf, und der Lack auf der Rückseite des Halses ist vom Spielen glänzend geworden. Die Gitarre hat auch ein Refret erhalten. Insgesamt sieht die Gitarre jedoch sehr ordentlich aus und wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem Hiscox-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
