The Swedish Levin built guitars that were inspired by the models of the big brands. For example, this Goliath LM26 is a nod to the mighty dreadnoughts of Martin, but for a considerably lower price.
Levin LM26 Goliath Dreadnought 1964
Met zijn combinatie van gevlamd esdoorn voor de klankkast en massief sparren bovenblad biedt deze gitaar een uniek klankpalet dat afwijkt van de traditionele mahonie of palissander constructies die je vaker in deze bodygrootte tegenkomt.
Deze Levin uit 1964 verkeert in redelijke staat, en heeft een getordeerde hals die aan de baskant hoger ligt dan aan de treblekant. Verder heeft de gitaar door de jaren heen speelsporen en craquelé verzameld, met daarbij ook enkele gerepareerde cracks in het bovenblad. Verder zijn de stemmechanieken vervangen, en is er een refret uitgevoerd. De gitaar is momenteel prima bespeelbaar, en biedt een vintage sound die zich uitstekend leent voor opnames in de studio.

This 1964 Levin is in reasonable condition, and has a twisted neck that is higher on the bass side than on the treble side. Furthermore, the guitar has collected playwear and craquelé over the years, with some repaired cracks in the top. Furthermore, the tuners have been replaced, and a refret has been performed. The guitar is currently very playable, and offers a vintage sound that lends itself perfectly to recording in the studio.
