This Martin D18 was created in the context of our 20th anniversary in 2021. We asked Martin's Custom Shop to build a limited edition of this iconic guitar, and the result is a guitar that certainly captures the imagination!
Martin D18 Adirondack TFOA 20th Anniversary 2021
In plaats van het Sitka sparrenhout van de D18 uit de Standard Series draagt dit speciale model een Adirondack sparren bovenblad met Adirondack braces. Verder vertrouwt hij op het bekende en geliefde recept van prachtige mahonie achterkant en zijkanten, een Modified Low Oval mahonie hals en een ebbenhouten toets en brug.
Het Adirondack bovenblad zorgt voor veel volume waardoor deze dreadnought zijn kracht en 'booming' projectie goed kan laten horen. De mahonie klankkast geeft hem verder een flinke lading punch en een rijk middengebied mee.
Deze Martin D18 heeft lichte speelsporen en enkele dings opgelopen, maar de gitaar ziet er over het geheel gezien zeer netjes uit. Inclusief koffer met TFOA paspoort en 20th Anniversary boekje.
Instead of the Sitka spruce of the D18 from the Standard Series, this special model wears an Adirondack spruce top with Adirondack braces. It also relies on the well-known and beloved recipe of beautiful mahogany back and sides, a Modified Low Oval mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.
The Adirondack top provides a lot of volume, allowing this dreadnought to clearly show its power and 'booming' projection. The mahogany back and sides also give it a good load of punch and a rich midrange.
This Martin D18 has light playwear and a few dings, but the guitar looks very neat overall. Includes case with TFOA passport and 20th Anniversary booklet.
Anstelle des Sitka-Fichtenholzes der D18 aus der Standard-Serie verfügt dieses Sondermodell über eine Adirondack-Fichtendecke mit Adirondack-Streben. Darüber hinaus setzt er auf das bekannte und beliebte Rezept aus wunderschönem Mahagoni-Boden und -Zargen, einem Modified Low Oval Mahagoni-Hals sowie einem Griffbrett und Steg aus Ebenholz.
Die Adirondack-Decke sorgt für viel Volumen, sodass dieser Dreadnought seine Kraft und seine „dröhnende“ Projektion zur Geltung bringen kann. Der Boden und die Zargen aus Mahagoni verleihen ihm außerdem viel Druck und einen satten Mitteltonbereich.
Diese Martin D18 hat leichte Spielspuren und ein paar Beulen, aber insgesamt sieht die Gitarre sehr gepflegt aus. Inklusive Etui mit TFOA-Pass und Broschüre zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum.
