We believe that National Reso-Phonic’s Style 1 Tricone is one of the most beautiful guitars ever made. It features a mahogany neck with an ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard.

De Tricone-stijl resonator gitaar werd in 1927 uitgevonden door John Dopyera, die in het pre-amplification tijdperk een luidere gitaar wilde maken die toch de warmte en helderheid van een houten akoestische gitaar behield.
Zijn innovatieve ontwerp had drie resonerende kegels die het geluid van de gitaar projecteerden, waardoor het over dansers heen te horen was en door een band of orkest heen klonk. In de vroege advertenties van National werd de Tricone geprezen als "The Greatest Musical Sensation of the Age", met een toon die "vloeide als een rivier".

The Tricone-style resonator guitar was invented in 1927 by John Dopyera, who aimed to create a louder guitar in the pre-amplification era that still retained the warmth and clarity of a wooden acoustic guitar.
His innovative design featured three resonating cones that projected the guitar’s sound, allowing it to be heard over dancers and cut through a band or orchestra. National’s early advertisements hailed the Tricone as “The Greatest Musical Sensation of the Age,” with a tone that “flowed like a river.”
The brass body is polished to a mirror-like shine and nickel-plated. The mahogany neck, finished in a rich mahogany burst, features an ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard. Vintage-style tuning machines adorn the traditional slotted headstock, complete with the distinctive National shield decal.

Stimmmechaniken im Vintage-Stil zieren die traditionelle geschlitzte Kopfplatte mit dem unverwechselbaren National-Schildaufkleber.
