De CJ, of Collings Jumbo, is Collings’ interpretatie van een van de meest iconische gitaren aller tijden: de Gibson J-45. Deze slope-shouldered dreadnought heeft door de jaren heen een trouwe schare fans verzameld, die het model prijzen om zijn diepe, volle klank met een rijke basrespons en prachtig gebalanceerde midden- en hoge tonen. The slope-shouldered dreadnought has built a dedicated following over the years, praised for its deep, resonant tone and rich bass response, all while maintaining beautifully balanced mids and highs. Though not much larger than a standard dreadnought, the slope shoulder design gives it a distinct sonic character.
This 2012 Collings CJ features a Sitka spruce top in a subtle sunburst finish, complemented by rosewood back and sides framed in cream binding. The mahogany neck has a sturdy C-profile with a comfortable compound radius, allowing for smooth playability across the entire fretboard. It is adorned with cream and multi-line binding, along with small mother-of-pearl dot inlays.
The guitar is in excellent condition, with some light play marks on the back and top. Well cared for by its previous owner, it delivers an outstanding sound and effortless playability, ready for a new musical journey.
