Menno Bos Torres Cocobolo Spruce 2019
Zoals de naam op het label in de gitaar al laat zien is deze gitaar een eerbetoon aan Antonio de Torres Jurado, de grondlegger van de klassieke gitaar zoals we hem heden ten dage nog steeds kennen. Om deze absolute grootheid uit de gitaarwereld op gepaste wijze te eren heeft Menno Bos alles uit de kast gehaald, en werkelijk prachtige houtsoorten gebruikt om de best mogelijke gitaar te bouwen.
De klankkast is gemaakt van het prachtige Cocobolo, en zorgt samen met het sparren bovenblad voor een prachtige sound die de luisteraar zal betoveren. Ook op visueel gebied is deze gitaar fenomenaal; de mahonie binding is versierd met een verfijnde purfling met blokpatroon, een dit design zien we ook terug in de rozet die daarnaast ook een zeer subtiel herringbone-patroon te bieden heeft. De Spaans cederhouten hals heeft een ebben toets, en is net als de body voorzien van een glanzende cellulose laklaag om de de gitaar zo optimaal mogelijk te beschermen tegen de elementen.
Deze Menno Bos Torres is gebouwd in 2019, en verkeert nagenoeg in nieuwstaat. Op het bovenblad zijn lichte speelsporen te vinden, net als op de zijkant van de klankkast. De gitaar ziet er over het geheel gezien echter zeer schoon uit, en is een oogverblindend mooie handgebouwde gitaar van de buitencategorie die zijn inspiratiebron absoluut eer aandoet!

As the name on the label in the guitar already shows, this guitar is a tribute to Antonio de Torres Jurado, the founder of the classical guitar as we still know it today. To honor this absolute greatness from the guitar world in a fitting manner, Menno Bos has pulled out all the stops and used truly beautiful types of wood to build the best possible guitar.
The back and sides are made of beautiful Cocobolo, and together with the spruce top, provides a beautiful sound that will enchant the listener. This guitar is also phenomenal in terms of visual appearance; the mahogany binding is decorated with a refined purfling with a block pattern, and this design can also be seen in the rosette, which also has a very subtle herringbone pattern. The Spanish cedar neck has an ebony fingerboard, and like the body, is provided with a glossy cellulose lacquer layer to optimally protect the guitar against the elements.
This Menno Bos Torres was built in 2019, and is in almost new condition. Light playing traces can be found on the top, as well as on the side of the body. Overall, however, the guitar looks very clean, and is a dazzlingly beautiful hand-built guitar of the highest category that absolutely does justice to its source of inspiration!

Wie der Name auf dem Etikett der Gitarre bereits verrät, ist diese Gitarre eine Hommage an Antonio de Torres Jurado, den Begründer der klassischen Gitarre, wie wir sie heute noch kennen. Um diese absolute Größe aus der Gitarrenwelt gebührend zu ehren, hat Menno Bos alle Register gezogen und wirklich schöne Holzarten verwendet, um die bestmögliche Gitarre zu bauen.
Boden und Zargen sind aus wunderschönem Cocobolo gefertigt und sorgen zusammen mit der Fichtendecke für einen wunderschönen Klang, der den Zuhörer verzaubern wird. Auch optisch ist diese Gitarre phänomenal; die Mahagoni-Bindung ist mit einer raffinierten Einlage mit Blockmuster verziert, und dieses Design ist auch in der Rosette zu sehen, die ebenfalls ein sehr subtiles Fischgrätenmuster aufweist. Der Hals aus spanischer Zeder besitzt ein Griffbrett aus Ebenholz und ist wie der Korpus mit einer glänzenden Zelluloselackschicht versehen, um die Gitarre optimal vor Witterungseinflüssen zu schützen.
Diese Menno Bos Torres wurde 2019 gebaut und befindet sich in nahezu neuwertigem Zustand. Leichte Spielspuren sind auf der Decke sowie an der Seite des Korpus zu finden. Insgesamt wirkt die Gitarre jedoch sehr sauber und ist eine umwerfend schöne handgebaute Gitarre der Spitzenklasse, die ihrer Inspirationsquelle absolut gerecht wird!
