Rudolph Blazer begon zijn carrière als gitaarbouwer in 1971 bij een grote gitaarbouwer in Duitsland. Na jarenlang reparatiewerk begon hij zijn eigen werkplaats in Stuttgart. In 1980 verhuisde hij naar Tübingen om daar te beginnen met het bouwen van traditionele steelstring gitaren.
De driedelige hals van gevlamd esdoorn en walnoot ligt heerlijk in de hand dankzij het comfortabele D-profiel. In combinatie met de lange 670mm mensuur en de ebben toets geeft dit precies die snelle, directe respons waar deze stijl om vraagt. Het 'birdseye' esdoorn van de klankkast is niet alleen een lust voor het oog, maar draagt ook bij aan de heldere, gedefinieerde klank die zo kenmerkend is voor deze traditie.
Het massief sparren bovenblad, ondersteund door de traditionele ladder bracing, zorgt voor een explosieve aanslag en een fantastische projectie. Rudolph Blazer began his career as a guitar builder in 1971 at a major guitar maker in Germany. After years of repair work, he started his own workshop in Stuttgart. In 1980, he moved to Tübingen to start building traditional steel string guitars.
The three-piece neck made of flamed maple and walnut feels great in the hand thanks to the comfortable D-profile. In combination with the long 670mm scale and the ebony fingerboard, this gives exactly the fast, direct response that this style requires. The 'birdseye' maple of the back and sides is not only a feast for the eyes, but also contributes to the clear, defined sound that is so characteristic of this tradition.
The solid spruce top, supported by the traditional ladder bracing, provides an explosive attack and fantastic projection.
