Maurice Dupont MDC60 2013

Based in Cognac, France, Dupont combines traditional techniques with innovative methods to create guitars that are both visually and sonically impressive. His range of products ranges from classical and flamenco guitars to jazz and steel string models, beloved by musicians worldwide. Every instrument Dupont produces reflects an obsessive attention to detail and a deep respect for the history of guitar making.

His “gypsy jazz” guitars, inspired by the iconic sound of Django Reinhardt, are particularly renowned for their bright projection, rich tone and perfect finish, such as this MDC60 with D-Hole. The guitar features a laminated Santos rosewood back and sides, also known as Pau Ferro. In addition, we find a top of European spruce coupled with a walnut neck with ebony fingerboard.

The guitar was built in January 2013, and is in excellent condition. There are playwear marks on the top, the back and sides and the back of the neck, with also some small dings on the bindings of the body. The guitar comes with a TFOA passport in a hardshell case.
