Atkin OM37 Aged Lefty 2020

Waar Atkin al geruime tijd bewijst dat het merk als geen ander een gitaar kan bouwen, is het aging-proces misschien wel het meest indrukwekkende aspect van Atkin Guitars.  De passie waarmee deze instrumenten gemaakt zijn straalt er vanaf, en het is moeilijk om niet verliefd te worden op zowel de klank als het uiterlijk. 

Wat veel mensen niet weten is dat de OM een perfect all-rounder is, en voor veel gitaristen is de Atkin OM de perfecte "desert island" gitaar. Als ze er één moeten kiezen, dan is dit de gitaar die alles kan. Het Atkin OM model is gebaseerd op het Martin model uit de jaren '30 inclusief de pre-war scalloped bracing.

Atkin heeft subtiele wijzigingen in het klassieke ontwerp doorgevoerd naar aanleiding van feedback van professionele gitaristen, zo ontstond deze ultieme OM. De Aged Tone Relic finish maakt het vintage plaatje helemaal compleet.

Deze linkshandige Atkin OM37 uit 2020 heeft zeer lichte speelsporen opgelopen, maar de gitaar is eigenlijk niet van een nieuw exemplaar te onderscheiden. De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in de originele koffer van TKL.

While Atkin has long proved that the brand can build a guitar like no other, the aging process is perhaps the most impressive aspect of Atkin Guitars.  The passion with which these instruments are made radiates from them, and it is hard not to fall in love with both the sound and the look.


What many people don't know is that the OM is a perfect all-rounder, and for many guitarists, the Atkin OM is the perfect ‘desert island’ guitar. If they have to choose one, this is the guitar that can do it all. The Atkin OM model is based on the Martin model from the 1930s including the pre-war scalloped bracing.


Atkin made subtle changes to the classic design in response to feedback from professional guitarists, thus creating this ultimate OM. The Aged Tone Relic finish completes the vintage picture.


This 2020 left-handed Atkin OM37 has sustained very light playing marks, but the guitar is actually indistinguishable from a new one. The guitar comes with TFOA passport in original TKL hardshell case.

Während Atkin schon lange bewiesen hat, dass die Marke eine Gitarre wie keine andere bauen kann, ist der Alterungsprozess vielleicht der beeindruckendste Aspekt der Atkin-Gitarren.  Die Leidenschaft, mit der diese Instrumente gebaut werden, strahlt aus ihnen heraus, und es ist schwer, sich nicht sowohl in den Klang als auch in das Aussehen zu verlieben.


Was viele nicht wissen, ist, dass die OM ein perfekter Allrounder ist, und für viele Gitarristen ist die Atkin OM die perfekte „einsame Insel“-Gitarre. Wenn sie sich für eine entscheiden müssen, dann ist dies die Gitarre, die alles kann. Das Atkin OM-Modell basiert auf dem Martin-Modell aus den 1930er Jahren, einschließlich der verjüngten Verstrebungen aus der Vorkriegszeit.


Als Reaktion auf das Feedback professioneller Gitarristen nahm Atkin subtile Änderungen am klassischen Design vor und schuf so diese ultimative OM. Die Aged Tone Relic-Lackierung vervollständigt das Vintage-Bild.


Diese 2020er Atkin OM37 für Linkshänder hat sehr leichte Spielspuren, aber die Gitarre ist eigentlich nicht von einer neuen Gitarre zu unterscheiden. Die Gitarre kommt mit TFOA-Pass im original TKL-Hartschalenkoffer.
