Gibson 1942 J45 Legend Banner Madagascar Rosewood Sunburst 2008

De Gibson J45 Legend was bestemd voor de Japanse markt en het is een van de mooiste reproducties van een vooroorlogse J45 die Gibson heeft uitgebracht. Deze gitaren lijken op een authentieke J45 uit de jaren 1940, zijn licht van gewicht en worden gekenmerkt door het droge vooroorlogse geluid en volume. 


Deze J45 Legend maakt deel uit van een zeer gelimiteerde serie van slechts vijf gitaren met een Madagascar palissander klankkast in plaats van het normale Honduras mahonie. De gitaar heeft ook een Adirondack sparren bovenblad met Adirondack braces, en is volledig gemaakt met huidenlijm. De mahonie hals heeft een robuust Large C-profiel en is voorzien van een Madagascar palissander toets. Verdere details zoals een esdoorn binding en rozet, vintage replica stemmechanieken en een firestripe slagplaat maken het geheel af. De extreem dunne McFadden nitrocellulose lak zorgt ervoor dat het hout vrij kan resoneren.


Deze Gibson J45 Legend uit 2008 is in zeer goede staat. De gitaar heeft lichte speelsporen en wat dings op het bovenblad en de body, met daarbij een gerepareerde crack in de body bij de brugpen. Tevens is een crack in de center seam op de achterzijde van de body gerepareerd, en is de gitaar uitgerust met een nieuw brugzadel. De gitaar is verder erg schoon en wordt geleverd in een koffer.

This J45 Legend is part of a very limited series of only five guitars with a Madagascar rosewood soundboard instead of the normal Honduras mahogany. The guitar also has an Adirondack spruce top with Adirondack braces, and is made entirely with hide glue. The mahogany neck has a robust Large C profile and features a Madagascar rosewood fingerboard. Further details such as a maple binding and rosette, vintage replica tuners and a firestripe pickguard complete the look. The extremely thin McFadden nitrocellulose lacquer allows the wood to resonate freely.


This 2008 Gibson J45 Legend is in very good condition. The guitar has light playing marks and some dings on the top and body, along with a repaired crack in the body near the bridge pin. Also, a crack in the centre seam on the back of the body has been repaired, and the guitar has been fitted with a new bridge saddle. The guitar is otherwise very clean and comes in a hardshell case.

Die Gibson J45 Legend war für den japanischen Markt bestimmt und ist eine der besten Reproduktionen einer J45 aus der Vorkriegszeit, die Gibson herausgebracht hat. Diese Gitarren ähneln einer authentischen J45 aus den 1940er Jahren, sind leicht und zeichnen sich durch den trockenen Vorkriegssound und die Lautstärke aus. 


Diese J45 Legend gehört zu einer sehr limitierten Serie von nur fünf Gitarren mit einer Decke aus Madagaskar-Palisander anstelle des üblichen Honduras-Mahagonis. Die Gitarre hat außerdem eine Decke aus Adirondack-Fichte mit Adirondack-Verstrebungen und ist komplett mit Hautleim gefertigt. Der Mahagoni-Hals hat ein robustes Large-C-Profil und ist mit einem Griffbrett aus Madagaskar-Palisander ausgestattet. Weitere Details wie Ahorn-Binding und -Rosette, Vintage-Replika-Mechaniken und ein Schlagbrett mit Feuerstreifen runden den Look ab. Der extrem dünne McFadden-Nitrozellulose-Lack lässt das Holz frei schwingen.


Diese 2008 Gibson J45 Legend ist in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Gitarre hat leichte Spielspuren und einige Dellen an Decke und Korpus, sowie einen reparierten Riss im Korpus in der Nähe des Stegstifts. Außerdem wurde ein Riss in der Mittelnaht auf der Rückseite des Korpus repariert, und die Gitarre wurde mit einem neuen Stegsattel ausgestattet. Die Gitarre ist ansonsten sehr sauber und wird in einem Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
