We recently received the new Eastman E1D 12-String Deluxe and were impressed with the quality Eastman offers with this model at a relatively low price. This guitar got us thinking: are there other 12-string guitars in the same price segment that can compete with the Eastman?

Eastman E1D 12-String Deluxe

Deluxe Series guitars are distinguished by their high level of finish and excellent tonal qualities. Eastman has equipped the E1D Deluxe with a Sitka spruce top, and this involves exposing the wood to heat and pressure. Through this process the wood loses much of its moisture, and the result is a guitar with a played-in character, with the tonal qualities an older vintage instrument.

Taylor 150ce 12 String

With the 150ce 12 String, Taylor offers a high-quality guitar at an attractive price. With a solid Sitka spruce top and walnut body, the 150ce 12 String is a more than capable instrument both visually and tonally

Beneath the surface of this stunning exterior is Taylor-developed C-Class Bracing, which improves the guitar's volume, sustain and intonation. The guitar's bright and balanced sound can also be enhanced by Taylor's built-in Expression System 2, which provides the instrument with more versatility in innovative ways.
