Met deze '62 Jazz Bass gaan we terug in de tijd naar de eerste jaren van dit populaire model dat in 1960 werd geïntroduceerd en na de Precision Bass het tweede model in de catalogus van Fender was.

Met de American Vintage Series greep Fender terug naar de beginjaren van hun iconische modellen, precies zoals ze toen gemaakt werden! Met deze '62 Jazz Bass gaan we terug in de tijd naar de eerste jaren van dit populaire model dat in 1960 werd geïntroduceerd en na de Precision Bass het tweede model in de catalogus van Fender was.
Met zijn offset-bodyvorm was de de Jazz Bass de viersnarige tegenhanger van de Jazzmaster, en had met zijn twee single coil-pickups een helderder sound dan de Precision Bass. Om het volume en de toon van de pickups te regelen is de Jazz Bass uitgerust met twee concentrische potmeters die zijn ondergebracht in een chromen plaat die apart van de tortoise slagplaat is bevestigd. De elzenhouten body is afgewerkt in de welbekende 3-Color Sunburst, met daarbij een esdoorn hals met palissander toets en de voor de Jazz Bass typische smalle topkam.
Deze Fender American Vintage Jazz Bass uit 2007 heeft lichte speelsporen op de body, met een lijntje in de lak achter de brugcover, enkele zeer kleine dings nabij de output en zeer lichte sporen op het chroom van de control plate en de stemmechanieken. De bas is verder bijzonder schoon en wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in de originele Fender-koffer.

With this ‘62 Jazz Bass, we go back in time to the early years of this popular model that was introduced in 1960 and was the second model in Fender's catalogue after the Precision Bass.
With its offset-body shape, the Jazz Bass was the four-string counterpart of the Jazzmaster, and with its two single coil pickups had a brighter sound than the Precision Bass. To control the volume and tone of the pickups, the Jazz Bass is equipped with two concentric potentiometers housed in a chrome plate attached separately from the tortoise pickguard. The alder body is finished in the well-known 3-Colour Sunburst, accompanied by a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and the narrow nut typical of the Jazz Bass.
This 2007 Fender American Vintage Jazz Bass has light playing marks on the body, with a line in the lacquer behind the bridge cover, some very small dings near the output and very light marks on the chrome of the control plate and tuners. The bass is otherwise extremely clean and comes with TFOA passport in its original Fender hardshell case.
