Collings I35LC Vintage Faded Cherry
Het merk uit Austin, Texas, die zich al meerdere malen heeft bewezen als meester gitaarbouwer op bijna elk vlak. Uitzonderlijke flattops, geweldige mandolines en uitzinnige elektrische gitaren, wat voortkomt uit liefde, passie en vakmanschap.
Collings' I35 Semi-Hollowbody is een van deze instrumenten en eerlijk gezegd leken de standaard van Collings zijn I35's al uitzonderlijk, totdat we de eerste mock-ups van deze LC Vintage te zien kregen.
Voor de I35 LC Vintage is daadwerkelijk alles opnieuw ontworpen en vanaf de grond opgebouwd. Vanaf de constructie van het gelamineerde esdoorn, het nieuwe centerblock en de hals waarbij rekening gehouden is met de nerf, gewicht en dichtheid. Dat is hoe ver Collings gaat voor zijn instrumenten!
De diepe, resonante, akoestische klank wordt tot leven gebracht door de Lollar Low Wind Imperial Humbuckers waardoor hij nog veelzijdiger wordt! Gebaseerd op PAF's met een lagere output die vaak in vintage 335's te vinden zijn, heeft deze pickup een helderdere algehele toon vergeleken met de standaard Lollar Imperial. Dit resulteert in een uitzonderlijke definitie voor elk akkoord en een geweldige presence om door de mix te snijden.
Hoewel hij er dus uit ziet als een wel beproefde vintage Semi-Hollow, onthult deze Collings bij nadere beschouwing dat zijn kracht zelfs nog veel verder reikt dan alleen zijn uiterlijk! Hij wordt geleverd in een hardshell koffer met TFOA-paspoort.

Collings' I35 Semi-Hollowbody is one of these instruments and honestly, Collings' I35s already seemed exceptional, until we got to see the first mock-ups of this LC Vintage.
For the I35 LC Vintage, everything has been redesigned and built from the ground up. From the construction of the laminated maple, the new center block and the neck with the grain, weight and density taken into account. That's how far Collings goes for his instruments!
The deep, resonant acoustic sound is brought to life by the Lollar Low Wind Imperial Humbuckers, making it even more versatile! Based on the lower output PAFs often found in vintage 335s, this pickup has a brighter overall tone compared to the standard Lollar Imperial. This results in exceptional definition for every chord and a great presence to cut through the mix.
So while it looks like a tried and true vintage Semi-Hollow, a closer look at this Collings reveals that its power extends far beyond its looks! It comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.

Der I35 Semi-Hollowbody von Collings ist eines dieser Instrumente, und um ehrlich zu sein, schienen die I35 von Collings schon von vornherein außergewöhnlich zu sein, bis wir die ersten Modelle dieser LC Vintage zu sehen bekamen.
Alles für den I35 LC Vintage wurde von Grund auf neu gestaltet und gebaut. Von der Konstruktion des laminierten Ahorns, dem neuen Mittelblock und dem Hals unter Berücksichtigung von Maserung, Gewicht und Dichte. So weit geht Collings bei seinen Instrumenten!
Der tiefe, resonante akustische Klang wird durch die Lollar Low Wind Imperial Humbucker zum Leben erweckt und macht ihn dadurch noch vielseitiger! Basierend auf PAFs mit geringerer Ausgangsleistung, die häufig in Vintage-335-Modellen zu finden sind, hat dieser Tonabnehmer einen helleren Gesamtton im Vergleich zum Standard-Lollar-Imperial. Dies führt zu einer außergewöhnlichen Definition jedes Akkords und einer großartigen Präsenz, die den Mix durchdringt.
Obwohl es wie ein bewährter Vintage-Semi-Hollow aussieht, zeigt dieser Collings bei näherer Betrachtung, dass seine Kraft noch über das bloße Aussehen hinausgeht! Es wird in einem Hartschalenkoffer mit TFOA-Pass geliefert.
