Kauffman

Kauffman

In Alphen aan de Rijn, Albert Deinum and Paul van Bree not only sell the big guitar brands, but also build their own custom electric guitars! The brand bears the name Kauffmann, the surname of Albert's mother, and since 2010 these guitars have found their way into the hands of many players and into other shops, including TFOA!

Albert initially goes for the right 'feel' of the instrument when building. Being a guitarist himself, Albert knows how to instantly connect with a guitar: when the neck feels right, in shape, finish, frets, and how you feel the body vibrate against your body when you strike your first chord. This feeling of 'coming home' during your first moments with a guitar, that is what appeals to him so much about a good guitar..

The Four Models of Kauffmann

Kauffmann offers four guitar models, all with a variety of options to design a unique custom guitar. The most popular models are inspired by the well-known and beloved S- and T-Models    from Fender. In addition, they also offer their interpretation of Les Paul body-shape from Gibson. They are tributes to the guitars of yesteryear, and therefore certainly have a vintage inspired look and sound thanks to their aging or Kauffmann's own 'slightly overwound' pickups

De Cozy

After a few years they wanted to design their own guitar. The result is an offset body model that, according to a loyal German customer, feels as cozy as a blanket around you. The shortest way to describe the Cozy guitar would be to say it has one basic design, but it comes in five different versions and it brings you endless possibilities. The variations are in the bridge and pickup configurations.
