De Gibson SG Standard heeft de klassieke looks en functies die horen bij de SG-modellen uit de late jaren 60 die door velen gewild zijn. Een mahonie hals met rond profiel, een gebonden palissander toets, een lange tenon 19e fret halsverbinding en een massief mahonie body vormen de ruggengraat voor de sterke sustain.
De 490R en 490T Alnico II pickups bieden de kracht om te rocken. Een zwarte 5-laags slagplaat onderscheidt deze SG Standard... een echt veelzijdige klassieker. De gitaar wordt geleverd in een gigbag.
