Lowden F50C African Blackwood Sinker Redwood

The 50 series offers the finest and best of Lowden, and this F50 takes it a step further with its extra exterior options! This beautiful F50 features unique and spectacular Mastergrade African Blackwood for the back and sides and has a figured Tasmanian Blackwood binding with purfling. But it doesn't stop there!

The top is made of a beautiful dark piece of Mastergrade Sinker Redwood. Sinker Redwood originates from California and is harvested from 1,000 to 2,000-year-old trees that have fallen naturally and been preserved underwater for centuries. The sound is breathtaking. The typical, recognizable piano-like Lowden sound is clearly distinguishable by the unique warm, defined, and rich tonal palette of the African Blackwood.

The five-piece mahogany and rosewood neck with a 'GL Standard' shape meets the body at the 14th fret, while the ebony fingerboard continues across the top until it meets the soundhole with a beautiful curve. The ebony fingerboard features subtle maple purfing, while an ebony headstock plate can be found on the headstock. For extra playing comfort, Lowden has also equipped the body of this F50 with an armrest bevel.
